Happy Mother’s Day to our wonderful mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures. We are so grateful for everything you do!
This year, the Good JuJu team created a playlist to honor our mothers and reflect on some of our best memories with our moms. Enjoy!

Texas – Black Eyed Boy This album came out in the 90s when we lived in Namibia and it just reminds me of that time in our lives. Getting tapes or CDs in a remote diamond-mining town was always tough so there were albums on repeat quite frequently. This was one of them! Anytime this song comes on it brings me straight back to that time.
Stereophonics – Handbags And Gladrags Valerie always vibes to this song!
Amy Winehouse – Valerie My mum’s name is Valerie and she absolutely loves Amy Winehouse and this song. Very fitting.

What a Wonderful World (Spoken Intro Version) – Louis Armstrong This is my mom’s favorite song! She’s an artist, so naturally, I grew up with and noticed vivid colors everywhere. In my adult life, I’ve rediscovered my love for hiking and camping. A sweet blend of both of our lives, “What a Wonderful World” reminds us to pause and notice the vividness of life.
Banana Pancakes – Jack Johnson 1) My mom loves banana pancakes. 2) I had a dream when I was 13 that my mom and Jack Johnson had a mad love affair. They thought the only logical thing to do was kill my dad. I couldn’t listen to Jack Johnson for at least a year. Feel free to laugh.
Adam
Rachel Platten – Fight Song My mom fought against and beat breast cancer twice in a span of 5 years, which took a huge toll on her physically but never spiritually. She was – and still is – a fierce optimist and a forever “fighter.” This song was her “theme song” during her illness. I’ll never forget how the words always inspired her to keep fighting…every…single…day!
Walk Like a Man – Frankie Valli & The 4 Seasons
Blue Moon – The Marcels
Lavender Blue, Dilly Dilly – Burl Ives
Ellie
Take a Chance on Me – ABBA Every summer I would go on a road trip from Georgia to Wisconsin with my mom and siblings. My mom had ABBA’s Thank You For The Music CD, and we would listen to it on repeat throughout the drive. We would stop in Nashville, TN for the zoo, Louisville, KY for BBQ, and Chicago, IL for deep-dish and the Shedd Aquarium.
Say So – Doja Cat I texted my mom to ask what her favorite song is. Her response was “Currently Say So by Doja Cat.” I started laughing so hard that there were tears in my eyes.
Love Grows – Edison Lighthouse
Mikey
Sooner or Later – The Grass Roots My Mom was a huge personality. She passed away 13 years ago sadly leaving a huge void for those who knew and loved her. For me, that void was never more present than on my wedding day. The Grass Roots was my mom’s favorite band, so naturally, the best way to include her spirit was for my wife and me to walk down the aisle to this song.
If I Could Turn Back Time – Cher
Here I Go Again – Whitesnake
Forever Young – Alphaville
